Most New Build Developments are nowadays adopted to an IDNO which is built and constructed by an ICP. An ICP is an Independent Connections Provider who is accredited under Lloyds Register to build an Electricity Network.
Each of the 14 DNOs covers a separate geographical region of Great Britain. IDNOs own and operate smaller networks located within those areas covered by the DNOs.
